"There never was a person who did anything worth doing,
who did not receive more than he gave."
-- Henry Ward Beecher --

LOM has an outstanding staff dedicated to realizing the organization's mission.

Leo D. Frazier: President/CEO
In 2003 I purchased a computer, an Intel 486 with Windows 95, from my brother-in-law, Moses.Leo D. Frazier There were not many applications except some games and Microsoft Office installed on it. Being a newbie I played on it everyday and developed an instant liking. I was not just playing with it, but also learning how it worked, what the hardware components were and the software programs in them.

Whenever I had a problem I asked my friends who are experts in the computer field and learned more. I bought two more computers and learned how to upgrade the hardware and software. Now I have six computers. While I was in the process of learning, fixing and upgrading computers, I got an idea! If I can independently learn about computers after my office hours, so can kids who are spending all their time on the streets. By introducing computers in their lives we can keep the kids off the streets and away from trouble. I talked about this to my best friends Jeelani Shaik and Rachna Reddy who are IT professionals and they liked the idea instantly. We acted on it by registering Learn On Me as a non-profit organization.

LOM now enables after school programs, churches and group homes the access to valuable infomation and gives them a chance to compete in the technologically empowered world we live in. Be a part of our mission and donate your used computers and computer parts to LOM so that we can help give especially the youth in the community a better direction in life.

"Each One, Teach One"

Dewayne: Vice President
When I was told about Learn On Me and it's mission, I flocked to the opportunity to represent the Infomation Technology community and to be a part of an organization that wants to help our community.Dewayne Gaines I've been in the technology community for over 17 years and believe that there is a need to help those that are not able to keep up with the pace of change in technology. By providing our community with used and refurbished computers we open the doors of infomation which creates knowledge. I am glad to be apart of an organization that wants to be apart of the solution.

Jeelani Shaik: Chief Technology Officer
Let me first say how lucky and glad I am to be associated with Learn On Me before I could get into how it all started. Jeelani Shaik I used to think being an IT professional there is not whole lot of options available to give back and help society with your professional skills as compare to other professions like carpenter, lawyer, and doctor. Well, this notion got totally blown away when Leo, a very good friend of mine asked me how to configure Network settings in freshly installed Windows 98 box. After fixing and enquiring what is he up to, he said that he has this idea of collecting (sometime buying in yard sale) old computers, fix them and donate to needy and institutions where youth can use them. I was instantly fascinated with idea and we registered this not for profit organization in the same month, rest is history. I always believe, what it gives to you depends on what you bring to it. I am glad to find time to work for this organization whenever I can and would like to involve more in future taking this work global.
